Clock Building Workshop

We're excited to announce our next event will be a clock building workshop at San Luis Obispo High School from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 16. This event is FREE for veterans and active military (one guest welcome). All participants must be age 15 and up.

Military branch designs will be etched into wood clock faces using a laser. Lunch is included. Veterans and active military participants will receive a Veterans Outreach t-shirt.

Kayaking in Morro Bay

County of San Luis Obispo Veterans Outreach invites you to join us for our next event, kayaking in Morro Bay with Kayak Horizons from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, May 18th.  This event is free for veterans and active military, plus one guest (age 3 and up).  Lunch is included.

First timers and seasoned paddlers will explore 15 miles of protected waters in the beautiful Morro Bay Estuary/Bird Sanctuary.  Life jackets will be provided for all participants to ensure safety.  Experienced volunteers will join us in the water to provide direction on paddling and recommend areas of the waters to explore.

Ziplining with Santa Margarita Adventures

County of San Luis Obispo Veterans Outreach invites you to join us for our next event, ziplining in Santa Margarita with Margarita Adventures from 6:00 to 10:00pm on Friday, June 7th. This event is free for veterans and active military (one guest welcome). Participants must weigh between 30-275 lbs.  Dinner is included.

Enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of valleys, vineyards and mountains on the Sunset Tour.  Soar along six ziplines spanning more than 7,500 total feet.  The thrills are amplified by the diminishing light, and by the end you’ll use glow sticks to help guide your way.  Also take a walk along a narrow 300-foot suspension bridge as you cross a deep canyon between the first and second ziplines.
