Author Meredith May will be appearing at an event celebrating Earth Day’s 50th anniversary on April 22, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Cuesta College Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center on Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo campus. General admission tickets are $15, and students are free. Numerous copies of The Honey Bus: A Memoir of Loss, Courage and a Girl Saved by Bees are available for checkout at the Cuesta College and SLO County Libraries. The memoir depicts May’s struggles with growing up in a dysfunctional, divorced family, and finding inspiration and

renewal working with her beekeeper grandfather as she adjusts to life in rural Carmel Valley, California.
