Groundwater Sustainability Commission Special Meeting

The Groundwater Sustainability Commission (GSC) for the San Luis Obispo Valley Groundwater Basin invites basin users and interested community members to attend a public meeting to initiate the development of a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).


The purpose of the GSP is to sustainably manage our groundwater resources and meet the requirements of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).

All interested stakeholders and members of the GSC are encouraged to participate to help guide the GSP development process. 

The GSC will host the public meeting on the following date:

This meeting will provide an opportunity to learn about the following topics and provide initial input on:

•    SGMA efforts in the San Luis Obispo Valley Groundwater Basin
•    GSP development kickoff and scope of work
•    Discussions on stakeholder advisory committee formation
