Upcoming Public Meetings on Sustainable Groundwater Management and Planning for the San Luis Obispo

The County of San Luis Obispo in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo and the Groundwater Sustainability Commission (GSC) invite basin pumpers and interested community members to attend the following two public meetings on the development of a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the San Luis Obispo Valley Groundwater Basin (SLO Basin).

GSC Regular Meeting

March 11, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.

Ludwick Community Center, 864 Santa Rosa Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

This GSC meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to learn about and provide initial feedback on the following topics:

  • GSP Development in the SLO Basin
  • Draft GSP Chapter 5 – Groundwater Conditions
  • Sustainable Management Criteria
  • Surface/Groundwater Modeling Updates

Public Workshop on GSP Development for the SLO Basin

April 8, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

Ludwick Community Center, 864 Santa Rosa Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

This workshop will be an important time for interested stakeholders to engage with the GSP development team and provide input in an interactive setting on the following topics:

  • Basin Hydrogeology
  • Sustainability Goal Setting
  • Sustainable Management Criteria
