When scheduling an office appointment, Officers will provide clients with the following meeting instructions:

  • Ensure your client has your phone number and inform them that a list of phone numbers will be attached to the front door of the lobby.

    • Have you, or anyone in your home had close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 with laboratory confirmed testing in the past 14 days.
  • If you are sick / have flu like symptoms, you will not be allowed into the building but your officer may meet with you outside.
  • You must remain in your vehicle while waiting for your appointment. If you do not have a vehicle please maintain at least a six foot distance from others in the parking lot and from the front door.
  • Once you arrive to the parking lot, you will contact your assigned officer by phone. If you do not have a cell phone your officer will meet you at the door at the scheduled meeting time.
  • You will only be allowed into the building during your previously scheduled meeting time.
  • Face coverings are required while inside the building.
  • Once you enter the building, you will asked to clean your hands with hand sanitizer.

Officers are required to utilize the sign in sheet posted outside of each meeting room. Meetings will be scheduled with ten-minute blocks between each appointment to allow time for cleaning / disinfecting of the desk, chairs, pens, door handles and other surfaces clients may have contacted, in accordance to the Workplace-Sanitation-Guidelines.

The on duty SDPO in the office will ensure that we have the social distancing space in all areas where there will be interaction between officers and clients.

Officers will ensure the following:

  • Only clients with a previously scheduled appointment will be allowed in the building.
  • Your client will wait in their vehicle or outside until you are prepared for your meeting.
  • Prior to your client entering the building, please ask the following questions:

    • Have you, or anyone in your home had close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 with laboratory confirmed testing in the past 14 days.
  • Your client will use the hand sanitizer in the lobby prior to going through the Metal Detector and entering the “employee only” side of the building.
  • Minimize items your client have access to (pens, door handles, etc)
  • You cannot run past your designated meeting time, unless absolutely necessary, as this will impact the Officer with a scheduled appointment after yours. In the event this happens immediately notify the Officer who has a scheduled appointment after yours, so they can inform their client of the delay.
  • After your meeting is concluded, you will clean the meeting room, door handles, pens and any other additional items in accordance with the COVID-19 Workplace Sanitation uidelines. (attached)

TESTING

Drug testing of clients will only be conducted if there is a need (such as DAS not testing someone) and you believe it is necessary. You must ensure you can, maintain Social Distancing Guidelines (6 foot difference) and wear a face covering.

Ensure the testing takes place at the end of the meeting so you can take all their items with them and have them exit through the rear exit near that restroom to limit them walking about back and forth through the building.

ARRESTS

DPOs shall notify a SDPO, as soon as safely possible, when a face to face contact or exigent circumstances result in a detention of a probationer or other person(s).
