Effective 3/13/2024: the County of San Luis Obispo will begin the transfer of DUI Program Services to Kings View Behavioral Health Systems.
Between 3/18/2024 and 5/31/2024, the County will transfer all DUI clients currently in services or on the waitlist to Kings View Behavioral Health Systems.

Drug and Alcohol Services is a Licensed Driving Under the Influence Provider. Drug and Alcohol Services provides quality, professional, and confidential services for those in need of fulfilling requirements stemming from penalties surrounding driving under the influence.
Who is eligible?
- Extended First Offender Program (9 months): Those who have been convicted of a first DUI and have a blood alcohol level of .20 or higher within the past ten years.
- First Offender Program (3 months): Those 21 years or older convicted of a first DUI Offense in the last ten years with a blood alcohol level less than .20.
- Multiple Offender Program (18 months) : Those who have been convicted of two or more DUI offenses in the past ten years.
- Wet Reckless Program (2 months): Those 21 years or older convicted of a first DUI offense with a blood alcohol level of .08 or below.
It is your responsibility to enroll in a program that meets the requirements for both the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Court. The DMV Mandatory Action Unit can be contacted at (916)-657-6525.

Weekend classes are not being offered at this time.
Your program cannot be completed before the designated time period per state guidelines.
Currently we cannot take payments online but can pay by phone for no extra fee with a credit or debit card.
Some Driving Under the Influence Education Classes may available via Zoom. Please ask staff when you enroll what classes are currently available over Zoom.
San Luis Obispo Drug and Alcohol Services is the only DUI Provider in San Luis Obispo County. However, you may try other DUI providers. You can access a directory of all California providers by visiting California Health & Human Services Agency and downloading the CSV file.
Classes are typically 2 hours long, depending on program/frequency.
Leave of absences are available for a fee but may result in an extension of the program(s).
You will be charged a fail to show fee for any missed appointment-class or individual.
