DUI Information for Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, and Grover Beach Clients
Information for Current SLO County DUI Clients Enrolled in Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, or Grover Beach:
- Starting 3/13/2024, the County of San Luis Obispo will begin the transfer of DUI Program Services to Kings View Behavioral Health Systems.
- Effective 4/15/2024, the current DUI Program in the SLO and Grover Beach Clinics will stop services as we prepare the transfer.
- A final individual session will be scheduled to review your time in service and current balance. All outstanding balances, March fee’s, plus 2 services in April, must be paid in full at this time.
- Between 3/13/2024 and 5/31/2024, the County will incrementally transfer all other (SLO, Grover Beach Clinics) DUI clients currently in services or on the waitlist to Kings View Behavioral Health Systems.
- The transfer fee to Kings View Behavioral Health Systems will be paid by the County if the transfer is completed by 5/31/2024.
- Any clients requesting to transfer to a different provider location, other than Kings View, must notify the county immediately and will be subject to a transfer fee.
- All clients must have a zero balance for services rendered with the County of San Luis Obispo prior to being transferred to Kings View Behavioral Health Systems. This is a standard requirement for clients requesting a transfer to any other DUI program. Program payments will be monitored by your Counselor and a final balance will be prepared for you with final payment due before transfer. Credit balances on accounts will be refunded to the client, not the new provider.
- All transfers will be complete by 5/31/2024.
