Katie A Intensive Team
What is this service:
The Katie A intensive team provides wraparound-like, intensive, community based mental health services and supports to children, youth and transitional age youth in the Child Welfare Services system. The therapist and rehabilitation specialist work as a team to provide services that are driven by the Child and Family Team and include the full array of mental health services as well as, Intensive Care Coordination and Intensive Home Based Services
Who is eligible:
- Children or youth under 21 years of age that have full scope Medi-Cal, and
- Meet medical necessity criteria for Specialty Mental health Services, and
- Have an open child welfare case, and
- Are currently receiving or being staffed for intensive services (Wrap Around services, Therapeutic foster care, Therapeutic Behavioral Services, Crisis Stabilization, other intensive mental health services (i.e. Day Treatment), Full Service Partnership, a specialized care rate due to behavioral health needs, in a group home (Rate Classification Level 10 or above), in a psychiatric hospital or 24-hour mental health treatment facility, and/or has experienced their third placement within 24 months due to behavioral health needs.
