Please use the CodeSLO link below to report a suspected code enforcement violation, and an investigation will be opened. Our staff will contact you if additional information is required.

Investigation requests are monitored during regular business hours and will be assigned to a Resource Protection Specialist in the order they are received. Your personal information will be kept confidential however you may be called to court if the investigation is referred to the County Hearing Officer and your witness statement is required. Please note that you may also submit an anonymous complaint.

I am not sure of the address for the suspected code violation. - is there a way I can provide a parcel number or a description of the location?

Yes, please provide the parcel number and/or any information that helps describe where the property is located. This can be added under "Enter Request Details"

What if I want to send the County more information after I have submitted a suspected code violation on CodeSLO?

Once you submit a request, a reference number will be generated, like below. Contact the County Code Team at 805-788-2350 and use this reference number when submitting additional information.

Will I hear back from the County once I submit an investigation request?

Only if additional information is required and you have provided contact information.
