Contract Award and Design Development

The Board of Supervisors formally awarded the Design-Build contract to Diani Building Corp. on April 21, 2026, including adoption of the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project pursuant to Section 21000 et seq. of the California Public Resources Code. The Board also authorized augmentation and financing to support completion of the project, which is currently estimated at a total cost of $14.4 million.

Public Works is now working with Diani and their extended team of consultants to complete the design and permit packages. Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2027.
