Jet Dental

Jet Dental is a professional mobile dentistry team that provides on-site preventative care. Jet Dental works directly with County Aetna and Delta dental plans, allowing employees and enrolled dependents to participate in their services.

Service Cost

Jet Dental automatically bills your County Aetna and Delta dental plan once your appointment is completed. Both County dental plans include two free exams and cleanings per year. If you have not used these free cleanings, Jet Dental's services will be completely covered by your insurance unless you require scaling or root-planing. 

Jet Dental offers teeth whitening services which are cosmetic and not paid by insurance.  

How to Enroll

Employees will receive an email with a sign up link and information once sign ups are open. Sign up for an appointment by:

  1. Calling Jet Dental's phone line and providing your County insurance information - Aetna or Delta Dental.
  2. Clicking on the electronic sign up link to reserve a time. 
  3. You can also sign-up spouses and dependents (ages 18+) as long as they are enrolled on your County dental plan.

Jet Dental accepts County of SLO dental insurance plans - Delta PPO and Aetna DHMO. Jet Dental automatically bills insurance directly after the appointment is completed.

Jet dental provides preventive and restorative care onsite, such as cleanings, x-rays, exams, and oral cancer screenings. Jet dental also provides periodontal treatment, including scaling and root-planing, which is required on patients with gum disease. Services such as scaling and root planing typically have a copay requirement. Jet dental also provides on-site professional-grade teeth whitening for an addtional fee (not billed by insurance). 

Yes. This does count as one of your two covered cleanings per year, provided by insurance.

Jet Dental works with any dentist. They can tranfer all exam findings and x-rays to your personal dentist, if needed. 

No. Anyone enrolled in Aetna DHMO does not need to be assisgned to Jet Dental. You will still be assigned to your regular Aetna PCP, but you can still use Jet Dental services.

If you require more complex procedures, they refer you to a highly-rated dentist that is in your insurance network.

Teeth whitening costs $249 for an in-office treatment. Jet dental also has take-home options that can be purchased.
