Map Number Request
A map number is required prior to the submission of an application for a tentative tract map, parcel map, lot line adjustment, certificate of compliance (conditional or unconditional), voluntary merger, or public lot.
What is the process?
Step 1: Apply for a Map Number
Please apply for a map number through the online service PermitSLO.
- To apply online, click here and find Map Number
- Scroll down the page to find the map number application that you need. It will be one of the following:
- Certificate of Compliance Number
- Lot Line Adjustment Map Number
- Parcel Map Number
- Public Lot Number
- Tract Map Number
- Voluntary Merger Number
- Click the 'Apply' button next to the correct number
- Follow the step-by-step instructions.
Step 2: Wait Until You See the Official Map Number
Wait a few minutes, and then refresh* your browser to see your official map number. MAP-000139-2022 is not your official map number. Your map number should be formatted as follows:
TR [last two digits of the year]-XXXX (e.g. TR 22-0010).
