Annual Cannabis Business Renewal Guide

All Cannabis Businesses must renew their license(s) annually. In order for you to stay in compliance we recomend you complete this process prior to thirty (30) days before your license(s) expire. If your license lapses due not submiting required documents, the cannabis business will not be allowed to operate until the license is renewed and fees are paid.

What is the process?

Complete the Tax Collector Renewal Form

The tax collector will mail a Notice of Impending Expiration of County Cannabis Business License and the Business License Renewal for approximately ninety (90) days before the expiration date of the license. The renewal fee includes a license fee, $34.00, and a Cannabis Tax Compliance Fee, $3,918.00

Per county code, it is a violation to conduct business operations (including advertising) in the unincorporated areas of the county without a valid County Business License. 

Complete Sheriff's Office License Renewal Packet

Select and complete one of the forms below based on the type of business entity (Corporation or Limited Liability Corporation). Contained within each packet is: face page, financial interest form, and questionnaire. The packet is all in PDF fillable format. Return the completed and signed form to the Sheriff's Office at [email protected].

The Sheriff's Office Annual License Renewal and Background Update fee is due before the issuance of an annual license. **Note** This fee includes the quarterly inspection fees.

  • Cultivation - $18,702.00
  • Non-Cultivation - $15,441.00

Complete the Planning & Building Renewal form

Complete and return the Planning & Building Departments Cannabis Renewal Form at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the license. 

Who is eligible?

This service only applies to cannabis businesses that are already approved and operational.

Is there a charge for this service?

The current renewal application for the Tax Collectors Office business license fee is $34.00 for each business license. The Cannabis Tax Compliance fee of $3,9183.00 is also required to renew you license.

The current Sheriff's Office annual license renewal and background fee is:

  • Cultivation - $18,702.00
  • Non-Cultivation - $15,441.00
  • Testing Facility - TBD
