Information regarding the June 7, 2022, Statewide Direct Primary Election
- All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 7, 2022, Primary Election.
- The last day to register to vote for the June 7, 2022, Primary Election is May 23, 2022.
- Official ballots will be mailed no later than May 9, 2022.
- Your official ballot will include candidates for U.S. Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, Member of State Board of Equalization, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, U.S. Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Assembly Member, as well as other local candidates.

County elections officials are required to conduct Logic and Accuracy (L&A) testing of voting equipment prior to every election, and audits after every election to ensure the accuracy and integrity of election results. The Logic and Accuracy test is designed to verify that the ballot counting program prepared for the election is properly reading, tabulating and reporting votes. The County of San Luis Obispo conducted our state-mandated Logic and Accuracy Testing beginning Wednesday, May 4th, at 10:00 am and concluding Friday, May 6th. The results of the Logic and Accuracy test was certified by the Logic and Accuracy Board on Tuesday, May 10th.

The last day to register to vote in the June 7, 2022 election is May 23, 2022. For a registration to be valid for this election, the registration form must be received in our office by May 23, 2022, either online or in person, or if mailed, it must be postmarked no later than that date. Register as soon as possible to ensure you receive election information on time.
