Meet Laylie, a loving pup looking for a comforting home.
Laylie is an 11 year old, spayed female, blue and white, Pitbull mix. She was surrender by her owners in late February of this year after escaping her yard. When Laylie arrived at Animal Services, staff found a number of tumors, which at the time were thought to be non-cancerous.
Sadly, Laylie underwent surgery a few weeks ago and her tumors were found to be cancerous. Doctors were able to remove several of the tumors, but as Laylie is an older pup, and could not withstand anesthesia long enough, not all of the tumors were extracted. Staff’s main concern now is finding a nice, comfortable home for Laylie to spend her remaining days.
Laylie truly loves people and despite her tough situation, she still has a spunky, go-with-the-flow personality. She still enjoys going on walks and staff report she appears to be house trained. Laylie wants nothing more than to find a loving owner who can give her a great last few months!
Animal Services is located at 885 Oklahoma Avenue, SLO. Come meet Laylie and see what a great addition he would be to your family!
