Search for a Provider
Find a Primary Care Provider (PCP) or Other Specialty Providers
The County coordinates two great resources through your benefits programs to help you find providers that in-network, address your medical needs and have availability within your time frame:
- Accolade - connect with an Accolade healthcare assistant by contacting them at (866) 406-1275. Your Accolade healthcare assistant can help you identify in-network providers based on your medical plan.
- Blue Shield Provider Search - Identify in-network providers for your specific plan and in your area using the Blue Shield provider search website. Review our Blue Shield Provider Search Instructions for a step by step guide on how to use the website.

Finding Care When You Need it Most
Not sure what type of care you need? Review this table as a helpful guide for types of care you can find and when you should utilize it:
Where to go | What is it | What can be treated |
---|---|---|
Virtual Care |
E-visits, telephone and video visits are simple and secure ways to get care and save yourself an office visit with Anthem's Live Health Online. For Mental Health issues, you can also use Talkspace to connect to a Therapist via text, video, or phone. |
|
Nurse Line | Speak directly to a registered nurse, 24/7 day or night who can help you with your health-related questions. Call (800) 977-0027. |
|
Your Doctor's Office | Go to a doctor's office when you need preventive or routine care. Your doctor can access your medical records, manage your medications and refer you to a specialist, if needed. |
|
Urgent Care (UC) | Urgent care is ideal for when you need care quickly, but it is not an emergency (and your doctor isn't available). Urgent care centers treat issues that aren't life threatening. |
|
Emergency Room (ER) | The ER is for serious life-threatening or very serious conditions that require immediate care. This is also when to call 911. |
|
Employee Health Clinic | All County employees can visit the Onsite Employee Health Clinic. |
