Notice for the release of draft funding recommendations; announcement of public review and commend period and virtual public workshop for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV3) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG-CV2) - CARES Act


The release of the Notice for the Release of the Draft Funding Recommendations (DFR) today, January 22, 2021, represents the start of the minimum 5-Day Public Review and Comment Period (Jan. 22 through Feb. 1) and to announce the Virtual Public Workshop to solicit feedback on the DFRs for the CDBG-CV3 and the ESG-CV2 funds allocated under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).

The CARES Act and HUD have allowed an abbreviated notice period in compliance with the Urban County of San Luis Obispo’s Community Participation Plan.

 

Virtual Public Workshop

During the minimum 5-day public review and comment period, the County will host a virtual public workshop to solicit feedback on the draft funding recommendations.  The purpose of the workshop is to provide all parties the opportunity to provide your comments on the HSOC’s Draft Funding Recommendations.

Please note the Draft Funding Recommendations will be presented to the Board of Supervisors at their March 16, 2021 hearing.  All hearings are scheduled for 9:00 A.M.  To determine placement of the CARES Act funds on the Board agenda, please contact the County Administrative Office the Thursday afternoon before the hearing date.

Written or oral comments provided to staff will be included in the Board staff report as part of the March 16, 2021 hearing staff report.
