Public Meetings

Our Committees
Workforce Development Board
The Workforce Development Board is responsible for providing oversight and developing strategic policy for implementing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in San Luis Obispo County. The Workforce Development Board, defined by the WIOA, includes County departmental leaders, local business leaders, educational entities, community-based organizations, economic development agencies, America’s Job Center of California business partners, and labor organizations.
The Workforce Development Board serves as a catalyst to integrate private and public partners to educate, train, and place individuals with the necessary resources and skills to fulfill employer needs. We offer a dynamic and comprehensive workforce system through our America’s Job Center of California location.
The Workforce Development Board meets on the first Thursday every quarter (February, May, August and November) at 8:30 AM.*
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee provides overall administrative and policy guidance for the effective operation of the Workforce Development Board and serves as point of contact for initial correspondence/liaison.
The Executive Committee meets on the second Wednesday of non-Workforce Development Board Meeting months (January, March, April, June, July, September, October, and December) at 8:30 AM. *
* Meetings may be cancelled or rescheduled by the chair at any time due to holidays, lack of membership quorum or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, all members, staff and the public will be notified along with a cancellation NOTICE posted on this site in compliance with the Brown Act.
