WIOA Youth Program
The WIOA Youth Program is designed to engage and empower At-Risk youth (out-of-school youth ages 16-24) through a full-service model that maximizes every youth’s potential in a positive, consistent learning environment. Our staff are committed, caring professionals that go the extra mile while giving each client the tools to build their framework for future independence.
What can I expect from the WIOA Youth Program?
Participants can earn an industry-recognized certification to increase their competitive edge in their job search, receive paid incentives along with vocational and job readiness training, participate in courses of their desired field of interest, and earn a sustainable job that can lead to a prosperous career.
Young Adults
Through participation in this program, you will have access to a career coach who assists you in understanding your strengths and the careers that match your skills and abilities. Organizations & Schools
We partner with agencies and schools to assist youth with career development skills and employability, connecting them to training opportunities, apprenticeships, and paid internships. Candidates must meet federal eligibility requirements.

Employers
The SLOCal Careers Youth employment team works with local employers to provide paid internships for youth and young adults ages 16-24. Candidates placed in internships will be paid through Federal WIOA funding at no cost to the employers. Candidates will have an assigned career coach to assist them with career readiness and desired certificates and training. Career center staff will partner with employers to provide an overall positive working relationship and opportunities for mutual benefit and growth. Contact Us Today!
