Temporary Conversion of Drinking Water Disinfectant to Free Chlorine in the Five-Cities Area

FIVE-CITIES – Some residents may notice a slight change to the taste or smell of their water as the San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works changes the disinfectant in the Lopez Project distribution system November 13 through December 2, 2024. During this period, the disinfectant will be switched to free chlorine.

Drivers Can Expect Delays Next Week as Crews Make Road Improvements on Main Street in Templeton

TEMPLETON - San Luis Obispo County Public Works will be making upgrades to signage and striping on Main Street at its intersections with US 101 Northbound on/off ramps and Ramada Drive. Work is expected to take place during the week of October 28 through November 1, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

Jury convicts Nathan Abate for sex crimes against multiple victims

District Attorney Dan Dow announced today that a San Luis Obispo County Jury has returned guilty verdicts against Nathan Daniel Abate (DOB 6/23/1988) for sexual assault crimes against two victims. The crimes occurred between 2009 and 2012. The verdicts were returned this afternoon after a thirteen-day trial.
