Employees enrolled in County medical coverage will receive a medical ID card in the mail. Please allow 7-10 days from enrollment to receive your card. 

Medical ID Cards

• Employees will receive medical plan ID cards via mail upon their initial enrollment in medical coverage, and will only receive new cards thereafter if they have changed medical plans during Open Enrollment or a qualifying life event.
• If medical plan changes were made during Open Enrollment, employees will receive a new Blue Shield medical ID card the third week of December. 
• Blue Shield medical plan ID cards are issued in the subscriber's name. 
• To request a new card, contact Accolade at (866) 406-1275.

Employees can also create a Blue Shield account to print a digital ID Card. Employees can download the mobile Blue Shield App to access a digital ID card, view claims, find providers, etc.

Pharmacy ID Cards

Express Scripts

• Employees enrolled in a PPO or EPO plan, are assigned a digital Express Scripts prescription ID card.
• Member ID cards are issued in the subscriber’s name and cannot be issued with dependent names.
• Visit Express Scripts’ member portal or Express Scripts App to download a digital card.

High Deductible Health Plan members will utilize their medical plan ID card for pharmacy. Visit our HDHP pharmacy page for more information.  

Dental and Vision ID Cards

• Physical ID cards are not provided for dental or vision plans. 
• Visit respective plan carriers for member portals to download a digital card, or provide your Social Security Number (SSN) and plan group number to your provider. 
• Plan group numbers can be found on the respective dental and vision webpages or on the last page of the Employee Benefits Brochure.

Tax Savings Account (FSA/HSA) Debit Cards

• If you're new to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), your debit card will be mailed to the address listed in BenXcel. 
• Existing FSA users won’t receive a new card each year, as the card is valid for three years.
• If your debit card has expired, a new card will be sent as long as you are enrolled and have funds in your account.
