The jail will release a SORV hold (revocation - PC3455) just as they presently do when an inmate on a probation hold is seen in Court. Since a unique Court case number is generated for each revocation request (xxPT-xxxxx), it is important that the jail is able to link the Court case number in order to release the hold. The following process will ensure that the jail reflects the correct case number:

The Legal Clerk will forward the email received from the Court Clerk to SH_CT upon receipt of the assigned case number. (see reference)

A Correctional Technician will add that case number to the hold screen, print the email, and reprint the booking for the booking jacket. When the inmate is seen in Court on that case, the hold will be released, and the appropriate booking copies will be distributed.

Offenders booked under PC3455 (revocation) will be held until a probable cause hearing. The Probation Department will fax (x1005) a detainer or sign one in person at the jail.

If a flash incarceration is authorized by the supervising probation officer or the PRCS supervisor, the Sheriff’s Department will book that flash incarceration as a new charge under PC 3454(c). The Probation Department will fax (x1005) the form or sign one in person at the jail.
