Kathleen Goble
Legislative Assistant
Kathleen grew up in rural San Luis Obispo County, and through her involvement in 4-H and FFA, developed an interest in agriculture early on. She graduated from Cal Poly with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and Ag. Business then continued her studies earning a Master’s from Kansas State University, where she enjoyed writing and publishing research. Additionally, she earned a Master’s in Legal Studies from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, an MBA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and a Master’s in Theology from Liberty University.
Kathleen has spent much of her career in commercial real estate and agricultural lending as a broker and business owner. In addition, Kathleen has been a management consultant to Fortune 100 companies and served as an officer and administrator to local non-profit organizations.
Kathleen enjoys working with Supervisor Debbie Arnold and being a part of the Board of Supervisors, where she helps constituents navigate challenges and find solutions.
Kathleen and her family live in rural North County San Luis Obispo, where they enjoy ranch life with their dogs and horses.
Don Campbell
Planning Commissioner
Named the 2012 Roblan of the Year by the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce for his distinguished service in the North County, Don Campbell brings his decades of experience as a real estate broker, educator, farmer, and community volunteer to the San Luis Obispo Planning Commission.
A Cal Poly graduate, Don Campbell earned his masters degree in Agriculture Science and eventually a teaching credential, teaching Agriculture at San Luis Obispo High School. Later, Campbell and his wife Gail owned and operated Western Properties, which later became a Coldwell Banker franchise, specializing in farm and ranch sales and management.
For over thirty years, the Campbells have been active members of the local agricultural community, raising purebred Suffolk show lambs and growing wine grapes. Campbell was a founding member of Heritage Oaks Bank and has been a board member for 30 years, currently serving as Vice Chairman. He is the only remaining founding member to still serve on the board. Campbell has been a Paso Robles Trail Ride member for 30 years, a 4-H Club leader for 23 years, a Paso Robles Rotary member for 34 years, and a Junior Livestock Auction Volunteer for 47 years.
Robert Bergman
Civil Service Commissioner
A former member of two trade unions and 35 years of experience with self-employment, Bob Bergman is well versed in employment issues. With over twenty years of experience on the Civil Service Commission, during fifteen of which he served as Commission President, Bergman has earned a reputation for fairness and independence.
Kenneth Dahlen
Parks Commissioner
Kenny Dahlen has been a firefighter for the City of Fresno Fire Department for the last 11 years. He has also served as a Board Member of the San Gabriel Elementary School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and Atascadero Youth Soccer Association. He has also contributed to the community by coaching various soccer and softball teams over the years.
Having grown up in San Luis Obispo County, moving away, and then returning to raise his family, Kenny has learned how important it is to both conserve and utilize our natural resources. Kenny believes that having a place for our children to explore, learn and compete not only helps to keep them out of trouble, but it also gives them life lessons and appreciation for the outdoors.
