Supervisor Heather Moreno

I’m Heather Moreno, and it’s an honor to serve as the San Luis Obispo County Supervisor for District Five. Sworn into office on January 7, 2025, I bring over a decade of local government experience as a former Atascadero Mayor and Councilmember. My approach to leadership is rooted in collaboration, transparency, and achieving meaningful results for the people of our region. 

As your Supervisor, my priorities include enhancing public safety, improving government efficiencies, and fostering economic development to strengthen our communities. I’m dedicated to ensuring county government delivers high-quality services while tackling pressing issues such as infrastructure, housing, and fiscal responsibility. Trust is built through transparency and respect, and I look forward to working with my colleagues, county staff, and all of you to create positive, lasting change. 

I began my career as a CPA after earning my Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from CSU Fullerton and working for KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms. Later, I transitioned to entrepreneurship, founding a boutique firm specializing in health and wellness, and earned my Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. In addition to my professional work, I spent more than 10 years volunteering with ECHO Homeless Shelter and LIGHTHOUSE Atascadero, reflecting my deep commitment to serving our community. 

My husband, Mike, and I have proudly called San Luis Obispo County home since 2004, and I’m grateful to represent District Five as we work together to enhance our quality of life.
