The California WIC Program provides education and support to families to meet their breastfeeding goals.

Breastfeeding Education and Support, includes: 

  • Individual and peer group breastfeeding counseling
  • Referral to lactation specialists (breastfeeding specialists) if you have any breastfeeding difficulties
  • Education for parents and other family members
  • Education and guidance for delivery experience 
  • Breast pumps for qualifying participants

Breastfeeding provides the best food for infants and many health benefits for parents and babies that last for years.
