Section | N/A |
Subject | 1.38 Offender Initial Check-in at Front Desk |
Purpose | To establish guidelines for front desk staff when checking in a PRCS offender following their initial release from local county jail or state prison. |
Effective Date | 5/1/2019 12:00 AM |
Previous Effective Date | 1/1/0001 12:00 AM |
When a PRCS offender reports at the front desk they are to be directed to complete a monthly report form with an address and phone number. An attempt should be made to reach the assigned officer or, in their absence, a member of the PRCS unit or the PRCS unit supervisor so they may speak with the offender and verify their contact information. If none of these staff are available, a business card is to be given to the offender with the assigned officer's name and number with a directive to have the offender contact his/her assigned officer to schedule an appointment ASAP. They are also to be directed to report to the Post Release Offender Meeting (PROM) at 1:00 PM the first Wednesday of their release, unless directed otherwise; have them check in at 12:45 PM to ensure punctuality.
