Purpose |
To establish guidelines for DPO’s and SDPO’s when a PRCS offender requests to be transferred to a different county within the State of California. |

- Verify the address the offender is going to go to as outlined in the CPOC PRCS Transfer Protocol (pg. 2/ ex. 1-12) and document in Monitor. The offender must demonstrate the ability to establish permanent residency within another county jurisdiction without violating the terms and conditions of post release supervision.
- Give offender travel permit for no more than 30 days pending approval from the receiving County.
- Complete “offender info.” Section of the transfer form.
- Forward the file to the PRCS unit supervisor for completion of transfer form and submittal of 611 to the receiving county.
- Supervisor will keep file until written verification of the acceptance is received.
- Upon receipt of written verification, the PRCS unit supervisor shall prepare closing narrative and forward to the Legal Clerk to have the case closed.
