Clerk of the Board
San Luis Obispo County residents looking to do business with the Clerk of the Board can work with the County Administrative Office. The function officially transferred from the Clerk-Recorder's Office to the County Administrative Office in June 2019.
Below is a list of services provided by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.
Appeal a Road Improvement Fee
Any person whose new development is subject to the road improvement fee described in Section 13.01.020 of the County Code may appeal to the Board of Supervisors for a reduction or adjustment to that fee, or a waiver of that fee, based on the absence of any reasonable relationship or nexus between the traffic-generating impacts of that new development and either the amount of the fee imposed or the type of road facilities or improvement to be financed by the fee. Assessment Appeals
An assessment appeal is the due process a taxpayer may initiate if their assessed property value cannot be agreed upon with the County Assessor. Assessment appeal applications are filed in the county where your property is located with the Clerk of the Assessment Appeals Board. This service provides information on how to appeal an assessment.

This service allows you to watch or listen to live and past Assessment Appeals Board meetings, and to view agendas and minutes. The Clerk of the Assessment Appeals Board prepares and maintains all the minutes, documents, and recordings from each Assessment Appeals Board meeting. All documents received are maintained and are available for public inspection.

City Selection Committee Meetings
This service allows you to watch or listen to live and past City Selection Committee meetings, and to view agendas, agenda item documents, and minutes. The Clerk of the City Selection Committee prepares and maintains all the minutes, documents, and recordings of each City Selection Committee meeting. Claims Against the County
This service allows you to file a claim against the County of San Luis Obispo.
Copies of Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700)
All Statements of Economic Interests (Form 700) required to be filed by the Political Reform Act or by an agency are public documents and must be available for public inspection and reproduction during regular business hours no later than the second business day after they are received. County Business Improvement District Annual Renewal
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, the Board of Supervisors ( the "Board") of the county of San Luis Obispo (the "County") adopted a resolution of the intention to renew the San Luis Obispo Count Tourism Business Improvement District (the "CBID) and to continue to levy an assessment on the lodging business within the CBID as set forth in said resolution of intention. Protest forms need to be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors office no later than 9am on Tuesday, May 14, 2024

Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) Filing
This service provides access to the online portal used to file the Fair Political Practices Commission Statement of Economic Interests, Form 700. See the Reference section for additional information about Statement of Economic Interests filing and the NetFile Filer Login link.
