If You've Lost a Pet
Discovering that your animal has gotten loose and gone missing can be a frightening and traumatic experience. However, it is important not to panic as there are several steps you can take to help increase your odds of being reunited with your lost pet. The likelihood of successfully finding your animal will be significantly improved if you act swiftly and if you remain persistent in your efforts.
One of the most important steps to take when your pet goes missing is to file a Lost Animal Report with Animal Services. You may file a report, along with a photo of your pet, online by follow the appropriate link below. (Please Note: These links will direct you to an outside website, 24PetConnect.com. Once your information has been submitted, 24PetConnect will forward your report to Animal Services. You may also choose to have your report sent to other animal shelters in the area.)
After you file your report, it is important that you also take a moment to check our Shelter Services page and look at the animals in our shelter as well as those which have been reported to Animal Services as found by members of the community. Because no one knows your pet better than you, please don't rely solely on others to match these animals with your lost report.
