Regular walk-in hours are available on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:30 to 11:45 AM. Planning information sessions are limited to 15 minutes to accommodate as many people as possible. New building permit applications will only be accepted up to 11 AM to ensure adequate processing time.

In observance of the July 4th Holiday, all county offices will be closed on Thursday July 4th. The Permit Center will continue to be closed to the public on Friday July 5th, 2024. Scheduled inspections requested prior to 5 pm on July 4th will occur on Friday July 5, 2024.

Department of Planning & Building staff hold quarterly Building User Group (BUG) meetings to help facilitate construction-related activities. The meetings provide a forum that enables two-way dialog between the Department and the customers it serves.
Building User Group meetings are typically held quarterly in Room D161 of the New Government Center.
