Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System
The Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System (ICOTS) is a program that allows Defendants to relocate to other states and still be supervised. The Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision (ICAOS) have the authority for Federal law and supersede any State law.
Probation Consent for Release of Information
This service allows the Probation Department to provide and receive information regarding your case.
Request Change of Plea
Infraction or Misdemeanor:
If were convicted of an infraction or misdemeanor and are still on probation. You may request early release from the Probation Department to file a petition to have conviction dismissed.
This is a two step process. First, request to be placed on calendar at the appropriate branch court for a probation modification/early termination. Second, after probation has been terminated, file a Petition for Dismissal (PC §§ 17(b), 1203.4, 1203.4a, 1203.41).
To file a Petition for Dismissal, two separate Judicial Council forms are required: CR180 and CR181. to the San Luis Obispo branch:
In order for the court to notify you of the outcome you must include the Consent to Electronic Service and Notice of Electronic Service Address or a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Felony:
A formal motion placing the matter on calendar is required on PC §§ 17(b), 1203.4, 1203.4a, and 1203.41 requests (please refer to the California and Local Rules of Court for specific rules regarding motions). Please submit any motion(s) at the San Luis Obispo Branch. All felony matters are heard at the San Luis Obispo location.
Community Work Service
When any Defendant is convicted of an offense and granted probation, the Court may order the Defendant to either pay a fine or perform community service hours. It may be performed in place of payment of certain fines and fees.
Request Sealing of Records
This service allows you to request the Sealing of Records for youths who have been through the Juvenile Court system.
Probation Questionnaire
The Probation Questionnaire form is used at the investigation phase to help prepare probation reports. It is used to document social history such as residence, employment, education and family members.
Probation Travel Permit
As a term of probation, Defendants are prohibited from leaving the state without prior approval from the Probation Officer. A travel permit is provided when a Defendant wishes to travel out of state for up to 30 days. The permit outlines the destination, mode of travel, companions and dates of travel.
