Having a disability not only makes a person more vulnerable to becoming a crime victim, but also can make navigating the criminal justice system more difficult.  San Luis Obispo County Victim Witness Assistance Center has advocates dedicated specifically to working with disabled persons that have been a victim of a crime. We utilize a community effort, working with outside agencies, to advocate and assist people that come through our center.  The San Luis Obispo County Victim Assistance Center does its best to accommodate everyone in our community to reduce the trauma, frustration and inconvenience experienced by victims, witnesses, and family members affected by crime.
