5.14 Annual Leave Program

The Probation Department offers the Annual Leave Program to all employees within the Juvenile Services Officer (JSO) I/II/III job classification stationed at Juvenile Hall.

A JSO may enter the Annual Leave Program at any time. They must complete the Annual Leave Program Form and route it to Probation HR for processing. They may request Probation HR to provide the form to them.

Probation HR will obtain the Chief Probation Officer’s signature on the Annual Leave Form prior to completing all necessary transactions to process the request. Probation HR will submit the completed PAF and signed form to the Department’s assigned HR Tech.

An employee enrolled in the Annual Leave Program may only exit it during the month of August, unless the employee is promoting into a position that does not offer the Annual Leave Program. The employee must request in writing to be removed from the Annual Leave Program. Probation HR will complete the necessary transactions to remove the employee from the program.
