This service allow you to provide a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC) prior to construction or modification of an Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tank system. Required segments of the SPCC plan specify system design, construction and code requirements. Approval of the plan is necessary to ensure proper equipment and installation in addition to building and fire code requirements.

Routine inspections are required at facilities that store or handle hazardous materials greater than threshold quantities to verify proper handling and storage.

Agency Program District Inspectors and Supervisors are available to answer questions on requirements. All of the programs have pre-operation requirements to be met prior to operating a hazardous materials facility. Some of the programs, such as Underground Storage Tanks, Tiered Permitting (hazardous waste treatment), and California Accidental Release Prevention (Cal ARP) require a permit or authorization to be issued to the new owner and/or operator before the system can be operated. Permitting can be completed within 30 days if all completed required documents and training records are submitted.
