Mission Statement

The Development Services Division provides quality customer service and strives for consistency in administering engineering and surveying review of land development to ensure that our neighborhoods are livable, safe, and well-integrated into the community.

How to get in touch with Development Services:

Encroachment or Transportation Permits, Inspection Requests 

For encroachment or transportation permit related items, inspection requests and/or general questions, we ask those inquires be directed to pw.permits@co.slo.ca.us so our staff can address accordingly. 

Plan Resubmittals

For plan resubmittals, please coordinate with your assigned plan reviewer via email for electronic resubmittal requirements. If your assigned plan reviewer is not known, and/or for initial submittals, please email us at pw.permits@co.slo.ca.us and make sure to include the permit number, project description, project site address and/or APN. Your email request will then be sent to the appropriate plan reviewer. 

Map Reviews

Map reviews are submitted via email to either the County Surveyor or the Deputy County Surveyor. Please view their webpage for additional information.
