Arroyo Grande Creek Flood Improvement Construction in Oceano

The San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District has begun Phase II of construction of the Arroyo Grande Creek Waterway Management Program (AG Creek WMP).

Construction started June 15, 2020, and will conclude November 10, 2020. This phase of construction will include removal of vegetation and sediment, construct log habitat structures, construct a flood wall, install turf reinforcement mats, and raise the levees in and along Arroyo Grande Creek and the Los Berros Channel.

Construction signs will be placed in advance and during construction delineating the closure of the tops of levees and adjacent effected roadways. Construction will occur Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please see attached map for specific location.
