Following the recommendation of the County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Department to maintain aggressive social distancing, the County of SLO Public Libraries will close all libraries today, March 18 until further notice. During this closure, we will continually assess the developing situation to determine the length of the closure.

  • During this closure all library programs, in-house services, and meetings are cancelled.
  • During this time, due dates for borrowed materials will be automatically extended, no late fees will be assessed, and patrons can return materials when libraries reopen. While you can return items to our book drops, please don’t worry about returning materials until we reopen.
  • Our digital library will remain open and available 24/7 at slolibrary.org. There you can enjoy eBooks, audiobooks; streaming TV, movie and music services; learning classes and digital access to newspapers and magazines.

We will continue to post updates on our social media accounts and will remain in contact via our email newsletter. Your health and safety are of utmost importance, and we will evaluate and adjust as new information becomes available.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your continued understanding and support.
