Purpose | To provide a more uniform filing method for retention of Use of Force reports. Use of Force Reports will no longer be saved in the Probation Department’s case management system. |

The Probation Department’s Use of Force (UOF) Policy requires a UOF Report be completed for all uses of force. UOF Reports shall be filed as follows:
- The DPO who authors the report shall submit a signed copy to their supervisor for approval and retain an electronic copy of the report on their H-Drive. Use of Force reports will not be saved in Monitor.
- Once approved by the supervisor, forward a copy to the Chief Deputy of their division.
- Once approved by the Chief Deputy, the Chief Deputy will submit the document to the Chief Probation Officer for final review and approval.
- All use of force reports will be maintained pursuant to the Use of Force policy.
