OCEANO - SLO County Public Works is seeking public feedback and ideas on the Pier Avenue Corridor with an Open House.
County staff will have various stations set up with corridor segment maps. This is an opportunity for interactive face-to-face sharing, data gathering, and outreach.
Tuesday, April 23, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Oceano Elks
The County is also continuing to take input via the project website: https://www.pieravecorridorplan.com
Pier Avenue is a short stretch of roadway less than half a mile long, serving as a vital connection for the community. Locals and tourists access the beach as well as businesses along the corridor. By examining Pier Avenue’s infrastructure conditions, traffic operations, parking availability, pedestrian and bicycle connectivity and safety characteristics — under both peak and off-peak seasonal conditions — this plan will recommend long-range multi-modal improvements to enhance access for all users. The County is leading this plan effort with support from SLOCOG.
