Overview
Youth in CVA who wish to participate in CVA Run Club events must be eligible, as outlined in the CVA Run Club Procedure, and wear appropriate attire.
Specific Procedure
- Youth in CVA shall be issued a pair of running shoes
- Once a youth has been referred to CVA, a CVA Deputy Probation Officer (DPO) shall complete a CVA Pre-Orientation Form with the youth within three business days (as noted on the CVA Pre-Orientation Flowchart) and provide the completed form to the CVA Legal Clerk
- The CVA Legal Clerk shall import the Pre-Orientation Form into Monitor under the youth’s current Supervision Event
- The CVA Legal Clerk shall use the size indicated on the CVA Pre-Orientation Form to request a pair of running shoes from the Running Warehouse
- Request shall be made via email to Liese at [email protected] and Cc’ing the youth’s assigned DPO
- The email shall also include a request to have the Running Warehouse indicate the value of the donation
- The CVA Legal Clerk shall prepare a CVA Donation Letter with the value of the donation indicated by Running Warehouse
- The CVA Donation Letter shall be routed to the Chief Probation Officer (CPO) for signature via interoffice mail
- Once the signed letter is returned from the CPO the CVA Legal Clerk shall scan the letter into the Donation folder located in the Coastal Valley Academy folder in the F: Drive and provide the signed copy to the youth’s assigned DPO
- The assigned DPO shall provide the Running Warehouse with the signed CVA Donation Letter when picking up the shoes
- When possible, the youth shall accompany their DPO when picking up the shoes to have youth try on the shoes to ensure a proper fit
- Once a youth has been referred to CVA, a CVA Deputy Probation Officer (DPO) shall complete a CVA Pre-Orientation Form with the youth within three business days (as noted on the CVA Pre-Orientation Flowchart) and provide the completed form to the CVA Legal Clerk
- In addition to the standard issued clothing outlined in the CVA Entrance Checklist each youth in CVA shall be issued a pair of CVA Run Club shorts and a Run Club shirt
- During Run Club events, youth shall wear running shoes and their CVA Run Club issued shorts and shirt
- Youth are permitted to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt or CVA Green ¼ Zip Pullover in colder weather
- Youth may choose to wear their CVA issued hat
