Traffic Delays on Huasna Road Over Arroyo Grande Creek to Begin Soon

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will be completing geotechnical borings for the planning of a bridge replacement project on Huasna Road near the Lopez Drive intersection in Arroyo Grande.
This work is tentatively scheduled to start on June 28, 2021 and conclude by July 2, 2021. The project is in the design phase, with construction planned to begin in the next few years.
For the safety of the public and workers, traffic will be reduced to one-way travel with flagging between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected.Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans and consider alternative routes.Please refer to the attached map for the project locations.
Quincy Engineer, Inc., of Rancho Cordova, has been awarded the design contract for $669,685 to design the bridge and subconsultant Yeh and Associates, Inc., of Grover Beach, has been selected to perform the geotechnical design work. The project is funded by the Federal Highway Administration’s Highway Bridge Program, and County Road Fund.
