(Updated 11/18/2019) -- Work is scheduled to begin November 25, 2019 and continue through January 2020.  Please see attached map for specific location.

The project includes installation of a sheet-pile retaining wall and reconstruction of a segment of the road adjacent to Cayucos Creek where a slip-out caused damage to the roadway.

Construction signs will be placed in advance of the work to notify the traveling public. For the safety of the public and the workers the road will be closed intermittently during installation of the retaining wall. Installation of the retaining wall is anticipated to take place December 2 – 6, 2019; during this time the road will be closed Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. During most other operations, traffic will be reduced to one-way controlled with flaggers as required. The work requiring flaggers is scheduled to take place December 9, 2019 – mid January 2020, Monday through Friday, with expected delays of up to 20 minutes.  Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans in consideration of the road closures/delays.

The project is funded by San Luis Obispo County Road Funds. Quincon, Inc. of Grover Beach, has been awarded the contract for $311,924.30 to perform the work under an existing job order contract.
