Author: Public Works
Date: 8/6/2019 2:48 PM

The County of San Luis Obispo in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo and the Groundwater Sustainability Commission invite basin pumpers and interested stakeholders to attend a public workshop regarding the management and planning for the San Luis Obispo Valley Groundwater Basin (SLO Basin).

The public workshop will provide participants with an overview of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) in easy-to-understand terms and why sustainable management of the SLO Basin has been made a State priority.  Presenters will describe the basics of groundwater and the current conditions of the SLO Basin, including groundwater levels and other indicators. Expect an accessible presentation that will give a solid understanding of the approach to developing a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). Please see attached map for specific meeting location.
