San Luis Obispo County, CA

The County of SLO Public Libraries now offers myLIBRO, a mobile library app designed to help patrons use the Library from their smartphone.

MyLIBRO is another way for patrons to view their library accounts and browse the Library’s collections. With one tap, they can search for what’s available at their local library or browse the collections at all 14 County of SLO library locations.

“It’s really easy to request books and other items for pickup at your favorite branch with myLIBRO,” said Erica Thatcher, Engagement and Marketing Coordinator for County of SLO  Public Libraries. “Our patrons like the ease of a straightforward mobile app. And browsing collections this way feels like guilt-free shopping.”

The app stores a digital version of a library card that is scannable at all the libraries’ self-checkout stations and service desks. The app also allows users to add multiple cards. “Families appreciate being able to manage multiple accounts on one phone’s app,” Thatcher explained.

MyLIBRO is available at the Apple App Store and at Google Play. Patrons must enter their library card number and password and select County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries to sign in. Visit SLOLibrary.org for more information about the Library, and about getting started with myLIBRO.
