Dogs were invited to celebrate the end of summer at the 12th Annual Dog Splash Days at the Templeton Community Pool on Sept 8-9, 2018 as a fundraiser for Vineyard Dog Park, a County Park operated by the non-profit group Parks4Pups.

This year’s sold out event had 275 dogs participating. Swim sessions lasted 45 minutes and were limited to 25 dogs who enjoyed both the tot pool and the shallow end of the adult pool. Volunteers wearing wetsuits were in the water to assist dogs in entering and exiting the water. Owners cheered on their dogs from the pool deck throwing an assortment of squeaky and colorful flotation toys. Swim vests were available for dogs that were new to the water.  Click here to view a wonderful video that really captures the event.

Proceeds from the event benefit Vineyard Dog Park of Templeton. This popular dog park is operated solely by donations and events such as Dog Splash Days. For more info regarding the dog park or related events, visit www.parks4pups.org or email [email protected].

Mark your calendar for the next Splash Days event to be held September 7-8, 2019.
