Update, May 15:
Bikes & Bites has been cancelled due to the impending storm.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Bikes & Bites will be back next year! In the meantime, check out free breakfast stations and giveaways across SLO County after the storm passes—including a station hosted by our own Behavioral Health Department!
Celebrate Bike Month on Thursday, May 16 from 7-9 a.m. at the County’s fourth annual Bikes & Bites breakfast in front of the County Courthouse in downtown SLO. Enjoy a freshly-made breakfast burrito, salsa, fresh fruit and coffee—all free when you ride your bike.
Bikes & Bites is one of many Bike Month events happening across SLO County to bring the benefits of biking to more people. Cycling to work or school (or simply for recreation) boosts mental and physical well-being while reducing traffic and greenhouse gas emissions in our community.
To join the celebration this month and beyond:
- Bike to a tasty breakfast at Bikes & Bites on May 16 from 7-9 a.m. Invite your co-workers and friends!
- Bike to Work on May 17. Be a part of the biggest day in May, National Bike to Work Day! You’ll help reduce congestion, improve health, save money and commute smart. Check out free breakfast stations and giveaways across SLO County—including a station hosted by our own Behavioral Health Department!
- Hop on your bike and enjoy events all month! It’s the perfect time to join your community in some fun physical activity while enjoying prizes and giveaways. Check out a month’s worth of great events (and beyond) at rideshare.org/program/bike-month.
