The world is full of great snack options! Choosing a healthy snack can be easy, affordable and delicious at work, at home and on the go.

On September 12, you’re invited to join the Public Health Department and teams across SLO County for Healthy Snack Day, a fun and tasty celebration of the small choices that can help power long-term health.

Events from Shandon to Nipomo will each feature a special twist, from recipe sharing to healthy snack origami games for kids and of course tastings of healthy snacks. Hands-on activities will show attendees how sugars, saturated fats, and sodium can sneak into snack choices and how to make healthier snacks at home or on the go. Participants can get recipe ideas for snacks to satisfy their favorite flavor cravings–sweet, savory, crunchy and spicy–and take home snack recipe cards.
