The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will begin construction to rehabilitate the pavement on Main Street in Templeton.

The work will include removing and replacing failed pavement, placing a new paved surface, and reconstructing various roadside facilities including; curb ramps, traffic bulb-outs, and drainage facilities.  The work will be performed on Main Street from Vineyard Drive to Theatre Drive and will begin on September 4, 2018. The project is expected to be completed in late December 2018, depending upon the weather.

For the safety of the public and the workers, parking along Main Street will be subject to temporary restrictions, and traffic will be subject to detours or one-way controls with flaggers as required for each phase of the work. To minimize delays to motorists, hours of lane closures on Main Street will be from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm; lane closures on Vineyard Drive will be from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm; ramp closures at Highway 101 and Main Street will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Work at the north end of Main Street away from residences will be done at night; in that case, a separate notification will be provided. Delays are expected to be up to 10 minutes during major operations.  Motorists are advised to adjust their travel plans in consideration of the delays and consider alternative routes. Please refer to the map for specific locations.
